Bastille Day is the name given in English-speaking countries to the French National Day, which is celebrated on 14 July each year. In France, it is formally called La fête Nationale. It is celebrated to glean information on French facts and Culture, to inculcate love for the French Language learners and to get knowledge on the importance of the Bastille Day. The celebration was conducted in the Special Assembly.
The celebration included the following:
- The students of Grade 9 and 10 sang the French National Anthem (La Marseillaise).
- Followed by Grade 4 students who spoke on some manners and etiquettes of the French. Grade 5 spoke on Les Fetes et la Mode (The festivals and Fashion of France).
- The students of Grade 6 and 7 enacted amazing facts and laws of France through a humorous role play
