    Sukriti Talent Fest (Wednesday,2nd August to Friday,4th August 2017)

    Sukriti Talent Fest 2017

    As an extension to the curriculum, Panbai International School organized  and celebrated its Annual talent fest “Sukriti” from Wednesday,2nd August to Friday,4th August 2017. “Sukriti” is an annual festival that gives a platform to students to showcase their varied talents.Young children have an ocean of hidden talent amongst them which was displayed in “Sukriti”.

     

    Day 1 – Story telling, Letter writing, Sanskruti utsav, Brain quotient.

    2nd August 2017 was the first day of the fest which began with a grand opening ceremony. After lighting of the lamp, a small video encapsulating last year’s memories were shown to all followed by a welcome dance. Panbai family welcomed students from other schools along with PTA members. Day 1 of Sukriti had 3 events, namely storytelling, letter writing, sanskruti utsav and brain quotient which was enthusiastically attended and participated by schools like RBK International Chembur , JBCN Borivali , Bombay Cambridge School Andheri East and Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya.

    The entire school was decorated with the theme and the competitions began at 10.30am.

    Students participated with fervent interest and the day was successful.

    The prize distribution for day 1 was held on the very same day and all the winners were felicitated with certificates and momentos. Moreover all students also received participation certificates.

    Overall it was a day filled with learning and fun, with loads of memories to cherish back.

     

    Day 2 – IT Fest, Magical Science & Kinematics Challenge.

    3rd August 2017 was the second day of the fest and one witnessed some exciting competitions and participation from schools like RBK International Chembur , JBCN Borivali , Bombay Cambridge School Andheri East and Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya. All competitions were divided in four age groups namely, Hoppers, jumpers, skippers and Head Spinners.The competition included Delicacio (A food fiesta) where students made some lip smacking food items. Another exciting event was the IT Fest where students displayed beautiful work made on PPT , Paint and also they made videos on the theme “Dreams’. For the future scientists two competitions were organized, Magical Science for the little ones and Kinematics Challenge for the older ones.

    All competitions gave students hands on practice over the concepts and they enjoyed thoroughly as well.

    Judges from different fields were invited 

    For Delicacio, the head chef from Masala Library Ms. Dhwani  was invited. Mr. Ankit Umaria who heads the IT team at Coalesce  judged the IT Fest and Mrs. Kanchan Mala, an experienced physics faculty with over 15 years of experience  judged the magical science and Kinematics Challenge.

    The Judges had a brainstorming session over the neck to neck performances to come to their judgement. At the end three best ones from each event was selected and the day ended smoothly with the prize distribution.

    Positive aspect of the event

     

    • Maximum  student participation was seen in the food fiesta-Delicacio.
    • Kinematics challenge was acknowledged by the judges and participant schools.
    • IT fest judge was impressed with the students work in each age group.

     

    Conclusions
    The main reason behind organizing these competitions was to nurture the intrinsic qualities of students, which was successfully achieved. It was a memorable day for all the students.

    Day 3 – Fun and Frolic (Solo/Group performance – Dancing, Singing, Stand-up comedy, Playing musical Instruments)

    4th August 2017 was the third day of the fest. This provided a platform for students to showcase their skills of dancing, singing and performing arts. The day 3 celebration was held in the atrium. The judges for this day were Mr. Sagar Gupta (singer) and Ms.Sneha Charawani (choreographer). The criteria for judging was based on -Creativity, Skill/ Talent, Confidence and Audience Appeal.

    The principal and judges presented trophies and certificates to winners of competitive events, and applauded them for excellence in performing arts.

     

    Positive aspect of the event

    • Many students participated in the celebration.
    • Backdrop and atrium decoration was very good.
    • Discipline Committee maintained the smooth functioning of the fest. It ensured that the decorum of the entire fest is maintained at all times.

    Conclusions

    It was a memorable day for all the students.
